The Cabin

When Solveig Bergsdotter dies of old age in the northernmost mountains of Norway, her granddaughter Lina inherits her cabin. She moves there for two weeks’ vacation, leaving her husband and her worries behind in Sweden. But quickly she discovers that family ties are not what they seem in the small fishing village. Could her new friend Vidar really have murdered his brother Johan? Ice-cold, dangerous, handsome Vidar?

I had a great time revising and rewriting the manuscript for this fun murder mystery that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

PuckLife Magazine

Is the defenseman 28 years old or is the defenceman 28-years-old? Maybe a saucer pass or a punch on the schnozz is going to wake the opposition up to some rock ’em, sock ’em hockey?

Proofreading PuckLife magazine since 2011 got me thinking about how to spell specialized hockey vocabulary. I developed my own (very long) style sheet in between adding serial commas and removing double spaces after periods. Great fun!
